Pchum Ben Ceremony (Khmer Ancestors’ Day) October 13, 2012

The Board of Directors of the Mondul Ottawa KhmerBuddhist Monastery will be celebrating the Pchum Ben Ceremony (Khmer Ancestors’ Day) on the date and at location as below:
Friday Evening, October 12, 2012, at Bodhikaram Temple
Time: 7:30 pm Arrival of guests, Paying Respect to the Triple Gem, Undertaking Five precepts and invite the Monks chanting the Paritta.

Saturday Morning, October 13, 2012
LocationTom Brown Arena, 141 Bayview, Ottawa, Ontario
Time:
-9:00 am: Arrival of guests
-9:30 am: Paying respects to the Triple Gem and taking the Five Precepts, Putting alms into alms-bowl for 4 monks,
-10:00 am: Chanting Sattappakarana Bhidhamma, Food offering to the Buddhist Monks.
-11:30 am: Blessing given by the monks, Lunch of monks, a monk giving Dhammadesna.
-12:00 am Communal Lunch.
